Asbestos Management Plans (AMP)
The Asbestos Management Program (AMP) is a document that outlines the management and procedures regarding the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) defined under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, as amended by Bill~208 (S.O. 1990, c. 7). An Asbestos Management Plan is required by the Government of Ontario under Ontario Regulation 278/05: Asbestos on Construction Projects and in Buildings and Repair Operations for buildings that have or is reasonably suspected to have asbestos containing materials.
The goal of the AMP is to provide awareness of occupiers and/or workers of any present or suspected asbestos containing material. Asbestos can cause possible health and safety risks. In most cases, the risks come with the disturbance of the materials. When working with asbestos, it is important to abide by the regulations set by the Government of Ontario. Utilizing an Asbestos Management Program can ensure that all Staff, Tenants and/or Workers proceed to use the site while practicing educated safety measures.
If you would like to proceed with GT Abatement Inc. as your specialized asbestos Consultant regarding the Asbestos Management Program, we will oversee the development of the Asbestos Management Plan. Please keep in mind, that in working with us, we will require the following information to ensure the AMP is in accordance with the Ministry of Ontario:
